What do you pogo for?

I have never accually met any other pogoers so I cant really say friends, but I would like too. I would have to say I just do it for fun. I never liked anything like stakeboarding or bmx as much as I do pogo.

yeah i have never got to travel anywhere to meet anyone because i live out in the middle of no where so i do it for fun and to challenge myself when i tell people around here that i jump on a pogo stick the laugh until they see me haha but yeah i would love to meet some people that i could discuss tricks and how to do things but yeah thats why i pogo

pogoing for me is simply my one thing that i do because i find joy in doing it and im good at it. everyone has there thing, skateboard bmx whatever. i never liked the idea of being mainstreamed and pogo is far from mainstream. pogoing is basicly my second life, i have my friends from my area, then my pogo friends( some of which are both) theres never a dull moment when im pooing, there is always something new to reach for, set goals and achieve them to feel the satisfaction from yourself and the support from fellow pogoers. theres not any negetive steryotyping against pogoers that i know of, and the way things are going i dont think there will be. we are pure in what we do

So y do i pogo you ask? A better question would be,
Y would i want to stop?

and i enjoy spending a week in a small trailer with 5-6 other pogoers who are awesome friends! XD

I pogo simply because I enjoy every aspect of it. I love landing new tricks or different styles or tricks such as tech, big air, street. I love seeing new videos from people that actually inspire me to do new things. I love making new friends and hanging out with old ones. I love being able to travel and get to put on shows for people and see the joy that comes to their faces when they see what others and myself can actually do. In general, I love every aspect of Xpogo and thats why I do it, simply because I love everything about it.

the only reason I pogo is because I hope that one day Garts will fall in love with me.

stress relief for sure. and getting to express my emotions. the art of pogo sticking truly shows that.

and i have met my true family through it.

because i was bored and sucked at everything else? then whenever i was bored i kept doing it.

now i just do it because it gives me something to aim at i guess? i don't know. it's a cool way to meet new people, and cool being a part of a small community.

i pogo because i like the feeling i give to other people who watch me. its different than if someone watched u play a normal sport they see u make a three or score a touch down and its not that impresive but wen u do a backflip on a pogo stick people go crazy. its cool cause no one does it. i also like it cause the possibilities are endless and it can always progress

I pogo because I love learning new things and overcoming my many fears.

I pogo because it's fun, and getting huge air is intense. But also I find important for me to promote pogo in soviet яussia

I didn't have anything to do so i started pogoing. I really got into it. It wasn't until i got older and better that pogoing started to really affect me though. Basically back home i'm a loser no one really listens to me and im not exactly anyone favorite person to hang with. but pogoing makes me feel accepted. Its the only place where i feel like a part of a community that actually values my opinion.

Totally have to agree with Dan there I diffenetly am not the coolest kid at my school and it really just gives me something to do.

I pogo because i love it, that is why i started.
And i love that i can just come on here and talk to the best in the world. I find that just amazing. And well the best in the world are some of my best friends, I love the small community we have.

I pogo for similar reasons to dan. Its also just a really good way to get that extra adhd energy out.

I pogo for a lot of the reasons that were mentioned in the original post. It is just fun, though I haven't experienced the friends part as I am not really in the pogo scene right now.

because trampolines aren't nearly as mobile, or dangerous.

i pogo because i like being high and because theyre is no other sport like it, and the people who do it arent assholes, like skateborders

Geez, don't I feel like a tool. I pogo (though I am bad at it, hopefully I will get better... I am still new after all.) because its like BMX without being super hard to start (dont mean to insult pogoing in being easy, just easier to start.) and I have some potential to get myself written down as an inventor of tricks (I got some good ones in my head, so when I get good enough I can name them?) in a sport which I think will be big some day. Like Rodney Mullen of skating.

Also Collin, I skate. I dont think of myself as an asshole or of my friends being an asshole. If you ask me, your a dick and should go out and meet some before judging the entire group. And if you know some, for there are bad ones, keep an open mind when meeting more. Else you treat them like an asshole so they treat you like an asshole.

skateboarders do tend to be dicks 98% of the time, because most (not all) of them are closed-minded and stuck up. they see you with a pogo stick and laugh, til you start doing flips and tricks and they shut the hell up. i hope to fight me a few of em this summer

pretty sure most skateboarders are down for pogoing. they are with me anyway. maybe no one likes you.

yeah i go to the skatepark now and then and the people there like pogo and try it out but theres also the a holes who make fun of it so it just depends on who they are

My point exactly. I would say 90% of the skateboarders I know are cool, and I will have you know most people make fun of pogo sticking, not just skaters.
